NWSL president Amanda Duffy informed the league board of directors on Monday she is stepping down from her position to join the Orlando Pride front office, a source confirmed to Pro Soccer USA.
Duffy spent three years working in league administration, including one year as league president. During the stint as NWSL president, the league increased attendance by almost 25%, inked a new sponsorship deal with Budweiser and added an expansion franchise in Louisville.
Washington Post reporter Steven Goff first reported Duffy’s move on Monday.
Duffy first joined the NWSL administration in 2016, taking on the role of managing director of operations and overseeing the league’s standards and policies along with its partnership with A+E Networks.
