Montverde Academy’s annual invitational tournament (MAIT) has a new twist this year as it is part of the newly formed National Interscholastic Basketball Conference.

What had been a traditional eight-team bracket format has been replaced by a showcase format that has 19 games scheduled in the Eagles’ glistening field house over the next two weekends, starting Thursday.

The Eagles will play six MAIT games, five against top 25 teams.
