Nikola Vucevic often talked about how much pride he took in wearing the Magic uniform and representing the city of Orlando. Those feelings clearly showed on Saturday.
The two-time All-Star, who was in his ninth season with the Magic before being traded, needed a few moments to get through his answer while speaking to reporters following the team’s shootaround in San Antonio.
Vucevic said he knew the Magic had been listening to offers and wasn’t surprised when a deal was struck, but it didn’t make it any easier to reflect on his time with Orlando.
“The hardest part was just the people,” he said when asked about leaving Orlando.
