Several NFL prospects with local ties saw their training camp hopes foiled Tuesday as the second pink-slip day of the NFL preseason came for the league’s 32 teams.
One of the more notable players, former Daytona Beach Mainland and UCF speedster Adrian Killins, was cut last week by the Philadelphia Eagles, but he was quickly picked up by the Denver Broncos and remains in camp.
Former Boone High and Florida punter Johnny Townsend was cut by the Baltimore Ravens last week in favor of veteran punter Sam Koch.
