The New York Red Bulls have signed Danish goalkeeper David Jensen and English right back Mandela Egbo, according to a source familiar with the negotiations.
An official announcement is expected later this week.
In a conference call with reporters last week, coach Chris Armas said the club needed to have competition at the goalkeeping position and that’s what they expect to have now with the addition of Jensen, a 27-year-old who arrives from FC Utrecht in the Dutch Eredivisie.
He is expected to push Ryan Meara for minutes. Meara inherited the No. 1 spot after Luis Robles was signed by Inter Miami CF as a free agent last month.
