New UCF football coach Gus Malzahn signed a five-year, $11.5 million agreement to lead the Knights, according to a memorandum of understanding dated Monday and obtained by the Orlando Sentinel.
Malzahn will receive annual guaranteed compensation of $2.3 million, which includes $500,000 in base salary and $1.8 million for radio and television shows, speaking engagements and product endorsements.
He is eligible for performance incentives up to $500,000 annually for the football team’s academic and on-field success.
Malzahn has an assistant coach salary pool of $3.3 million annually and will receive other amenities, including relocation expenses, use of a vehicle provided by the UCF Athletics Association and a country club membership.
