When you look back on the 2020 college football season, it’s miraculous the College Football Playoff National Championship Game will be played Monday night at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens.
Through a pandemic, social unrest and political upheaval, college football has continued to provide a respite during a difficult year.
The sacrifice and devotion demonstrated at every level just to get to this point is what makes the game so special and meaningful, perhaps more so than any other championship matchup in recent memory.
From that moment in August when the conferences split over whether to play football this fall to the opening kickoff Monday evening, it’s been quite a journey.
