Orlando City captain Nani scored Orlando City’s first goal of the season to help the team take a point on the road against Kansas City with a 1-1 draw Friday night.
After a back-and-forth night of frenzied attack for both teams, Nani found the net in his signature cheeky style, flicking a ricocheting shot from Chris Mueller into the goal with the back of his heel.
Nani’s goal came as a relief for the Lions after their first two goals of the match from Benji Michel and Andrés Perea were rolled back for offside calls.
The equalizer was also initially waved off by the assistant referee, who motioned that Nani was a step off the line.
