Orlando City captain Nani continued to soar for the Lions on Saturday, opening scoring in a 1-1 draw against New York City FC on Saturday.
This marked the third-straight match in which Nani netted a goal, and the captain continued his trend of only scoring goals worthy of the league highlight reel. Orlando City is now undefeated through the first four matches of the season.
After a deadlocked first half, the Lions launched an assault on the New York City backline in the second. A transition counter started by Júnior Urso finally cracked open the defense in the 52nd minute, opening up Mauricio Pereyra to feed Nani at the top of the box.
