Seminole High athletic director Mike Kintz is returning to the football sidelines for the first time since 2015 after being named Mount Dora Christian Academy’s new head coach late Thursday afternoon.
Kintz replaces Kolby Tackett, who took over at Oviedo last week after leading the Bulldogs to a 23-9 record over the past three seasons.
“My passion and goal in life was never to be an athletic director,” Kintz said by phone. “This is an opportunity to get back to coaching at a great school and to continue what Coach Tackett and [MDCA administrators] have already done over there.
