MONTREAL — In his first training session, Victor Wanyama was already bringing intensity to the Montreal Impact.
Freshly transferred from Tottenham, Wanyama said he wanted to bring passion and fight to his new club. The Kenyan international is keen on kick-starting his career in a physical league like MLS.
“On the pitch sometimes when we need to be bad guys, we need to be bad guys,” Wanyama said. “It’s football, sometimes we need this to get the result.”
Wanyama calls himself a selfless player who thinks of the team first. He added he will be a positive presence for his teammates, while being a warrior on the field.
