The Montreal Impact have re-signed Samuel Piette to a new contract on Wednesday.
Initially, Piette was set to remain at the Impact for the 2020 season since the club exercised the option on his former contract. The midfielder then agreed to a three-year extension, including an option for the 2023 season.
“We are very happy, as he is, to have found an agreement that shows mutual respect, as there was interest from both sides to reach this conclusion,” Impact sporting director Olivier Renard said in a statement. “We wanted Samuel to stay with the club and I want to thank him [for having] trust in our project.
