The Montreal Impact acquired left winger Romell Quioto from the Houston Dynamo on Wednesday, the club announced.
In exchange, Montreal traded defender Victor Cabrera to Houston and sent $100,000 in general allocation money to the Dynamo.
The Honduran international, who holds a green card, played three seasons with the Dynamo, scoring 15 goals in 72 games. With his national team, the 28 year-old scored 8 goals in 46 caps.
“We are pleased to acquire this versatile player, who can play in every attacking position and who has proven in the past that he can be successful in this league,” Montreal sporting director Olivier Renard said in a statement.
