MLS commissioner Don Garber added to the hype surrounding young Orlando City star Daryl Dike during a call with reporters Monday.
“That’s a $20 million player,” Garber said. “That’s a guy that I hope we could even set new records ... that go beyond what we achieved with Alphonso Davies.”
Garber echoed a transfer price previously set by the Lions, who included a $20 million option to buy clause for 80% of Dike’s rights when they loaned him to Barnsley in February.
The club remains firm on that price, and a club source says the Lions have no plans to consider any offers below $20 million.
