Toronto FC captain Michael Bradley is expected to stay put in Canada.
According to Neil Davidson of the Canadian Press, Bradley is set to sign a new contract using Targeted Allocation Money (TAM). Bradley’s new deal would free up one of TFC’s three designated player slots.
Toronto FC indicated a “major announcement” was scheduled for Thursday at Noon ET.
The deal would reportedly be a pay-cut from Bradley’s current designated player contract worth $6.5 million he held until 2019. The 32-year-old hit the MLS free agency market on Nov. 25.
