The Miami Hurricanes will return both their guards that originally entered their names into the 2021 NBA draft.
UM sophomore Isaiah Wong decided to withdraw from the draft to return to the Hurricanes for a third college season, he announced on Tuesday with a video posted on Instagram and caption that simply said “I’m back.” Wong’s decision follows that of senior Kameron McGusty, who opted the same on June 29.
“Being in the NBA has been a lifelong dream of mine,” Wong said in a statement released by the Hurricanes. “Experiencing workouts and interviews, along with seeing some of the day-to-day life of being a professional, has given me a taste of just how close I am to having that dream come true.
