The Miami Hurricanes have their man for inside linebackers coach, announcing the hire of Travis Williams on Monday afternoon.
“We are thrilled to welcome Travis and his family to Miami,” Miami coach Manny Diaz said in a statement. “He has had tremendous success both playing and coaching the linebacker position and I’m excited about the knowledge and passion he will bring to our linebackers group.”
Prior to being promoted to linebackers coach in 2016, Williams held various roles on the Tigers’ football support staff. As a player, Williams earned All-SEC honors in 2004 and 2005, leading Auburn in tackles (80) on the undefeated 2004 team.
