It was known this was most likely the Miami Hurricanes’ bowl game destination since they lost, 62-26, to North Carolina on Dec. 12.
No. 18 Miami is bound for Orlando and the Cheez-It Bowl in a 5:30 p.m. kickoff on Dec. 29 at Camping World Stadium, the ACC announced on Sunday afternoon. UM will face No. 21 Oklahoma State.
The Cheez-It Bowl, previously the Camping World Bowl, among other former monikers, is in the tier of bowl games that follows the New Year’s Six group. The Hurricanes (8-2, 7-2 ACC) blew their chance at a spot in the Orange Bowl after the drubbing they took from UNC.
