The Dolphins re-signed Louis, who spent last season on Miami’s injured reserve, and added Rogers because Albert Wilson and Allen Hurns each opted out of playing the 2020 season because of COVID-19 concerns. But Louis and Rogers sparingly contributed to the offense during the two weeks of practices they participated in before being released.
Their departure leaves Miami with Preston Williams and DeVante Parker as Miami’s starting receivers, and Isaiah Ford, Jakeem Grant, Malcolm Perry and Mack Hollins as the team’s top backups with Kirk Merritt and Matt Cole as the two undrafted rookies likely pegged to be developed on Miami’s practice squad.
