MIAMI GARDENS — The Miami Dolphins announced on Wednesday morning that they placed linebacker Sam Eguavoen on the reserve/COVID list.
The designation for Miami’s third-year linebacker came as the Dolphins prepared for the first of two joint practices with the Atlanta Falcons on back-to-back days.
In two seasons with Miami, Eguavoen has played in all 32 games with seven starts and tallied 45 tackles (24 solo), 3 1/2 sacks, two passes defensed and one fumble recovery. He also has six special teams stops.
Prior to Miami, he spent three seasons (2016-18) with the Saskatchewan Roughriders in the Canadian Football League.
