The Hurricanes were dominated by a more talented Alabama last week. The rest of the season now starts for Miami and it’s the one with the better talent this Saturday. The only concern is if they don’t recover from the loss to the Crimson Tide and it costs them a second game. Appalachian State is better than most people think.
Make no mistake: Appalachian State won’t be a pushover for Miami. There’s a reason the Mountaineers won four consecutive Sun Belt Conference titles (2016-19), were ranked as high as No. 23 in the AP Poll last year as part of a 9-3 season and have battled Power Five programs well recently.
