Wednesday is just the third day of Florida’s high school boys basketball season but championships are already on the line as the inaugural Metro Hoop Fest concludes at The Well Center Activities Center in Apopka.
Metro Conference West rivals Dr. Phillips and Windermere both posted Monday and Tuesday wins and will square off in the Blue Division final at 1:45 p.m.
A third Metro West team, Apopka (2-0), will play Metro East representative Oak Ridge (2-0) at the same time for the White Division title.
Windermere (2-0) trailed by five midway through the first quarter but scored 26 unanswered points and rolled to a 77-56 win against Edgewater (1-1) in its second round game.
