McArthur junior varsity baseball coach Kenny Reagan died from COVID-19 on Thursday night, Mustangs baseball coach Oddibe McDowell and family friend Jenniffer Weisberg said.
“It’s a great loss,” McDowell said. “Not just a coach-wise, but there wasn’t a day where his son wasn’t by his side, and I know that he’d been there as a father for all the years and he had such a loving care for his son (and) his parents. ... Just a special gentleman. It’s an unfortunate thing. It’s heartbreaking.”
Reagan, who worked as a respiratory therapist at Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood, was 56 years old.
