Matt Breida’s return could spark Dolphins’ run game in final stretch

Whether it’s because of injuries or stints on the NFL’s reserve/COVID-19 list, the Miami Dolphins’ run game has had to work on the fly this season.

But the hope is at least three players can return to help the Dolphins (9-5) in their final push for a playoff spot.

Veteran running back Matt Breida is already back after a two-week stint on the COVID-19 list and could be in line to start Sunday’s home game against the New England Patriots at Hard Rock Stadium.

Dolphins rookie Salvon Ahmed, who started two games, could also make his return from a shoulder injury that has hampered him for the past month.
