Orlando Pride star Marta scored her first goal of the season to lift the Orlando Pride to their third straight win of the regular season, a 1-0 home victory over Kansas City on Sunday.
The Pride (3-0-1, 10) remain unbeaten in the regular season after closing out a streak of three wins in nine days to sprint out to an early lead at the top of the NWSL standings.
The team has clinched all three of its wins so far this season off one-goal advantages. Marta provided the critical game-winner in the 16th minute when she deflected a header from Alex Morgan, chipping the ball just past keeper Abby Smith.
