Markelle Fultz and Jonathan Isaac each have their own reasons for feeling a deep connection with the Orlando Magic.
Isaac was the first player drafted by the team’s current front office, and he feels a special bond with the group.
Fultz appreciates the opportunity the organization gave him to work through a shoulder injury and get his career back on track.
The Magic added another layer to the relationships Monday by agreeing to rookie-scale contract extensions with Fultz (three years) and Isaac (four years).
While both players said they weren’t obsessing over an extension, they said they’re relieved to have new contracts in place before the season tipped off.
