Through the first few days of preseason camp, the Miami Hurricanes’ 2021 recruiting class has done what it was brought in to do up to this point: push the veteran players in practice and provide the team with depth at several positions.
During a Monday appearance on 560-WQAM, UM coach Manny Diaz commended the Hurricanes’ true freshman class for the performances they’ve put on so far on Greentree Practice Field.
“We think very highly of them,” Diaz said. “The ones that came mid-year, I thought they all impressed in the spring. But it has been fun to see, whether its the wideouts, [safety] James Williams, [defensive tackle] Leonard Taylor, [tight end] Elijah Arroyo — they’ve been what we thought they were.
