The Orlando Magic on Wednesday signed free agent guard Frank Mason, the 2020 NBA G League MVP, to a two-way contract.
To clear a two-way spot for Mason, the Magic waived guard Jordan Bone, who played 17 minutes in Tuesday’s 123-108 loss to the Toronto Raptors. In 14 appearances with Orlando, Bone averaged 4.0 points, 1.7 rebounds and 1.3 assists while shooting 42.6% overall and 31.3% from the 3-point line.
Karim Mané holds the team’s other two-way slot. He is with the Lakeland Magic preparing for the upcoming G League season in the Disney bubble.
Mason, meanwhile, has been in Orlando with the 76ers’ G League affiliate, the Delaware Blue Coats.
