The Orlando Magic have signed forward Robert Franks to a second 10-day contract, the team announced Thursday.
The Magic originally signed the 6-foot-7 Franks to a 10-day contract on April 12 after the team’s depth at the power forward spot had diminished with the departure of Khem Birch (via release) and the trade of Aaron Gordon and Gary Clark to the Nuggets, and Al-Farouq Aminu to the Bulls. Franks was inserted into the lineup against the Spurs on the day he signed because of an injury to reserve center Mo Bamba.
The 6-foot-7, 225-pound Franks has played in four games with the Magic, averaging 5.
