With one victory under their belts, the Orlando Magic will head to the nation’s capital to get their first regular-season taste of the NBA’s new back-to-back format — and its tightly-wrapped schedule.
The Magic take on the Washington Wizards at 7 p.m. Saturday in the first of two straight games at Capital One Arena. The teams will meet again Sunday night at 7.
The Magic had a light practice Thursday that ended around 11 a.m., and were set to travel to Washington early Friday evening so players could have a chance to spend most of Christmas with their families, coach Steve Clifford said.
