The Orlando Magic’s president of basketball operations Jeff Weltman announced Sunday that the team has hired Nate Tibbetts, Jesse Mermuys, Dale Osbourne, Bret Brielmaier and Lionel Chalmers as assistant coaches on head coach Jamahl Mosley’s staff.
He spent the past eight seasons (2013-21) with the Portland Trail Blazers. Prior to that, Tibbetts was an assistant coach with the Cleveland Cavaliers. in 2009-11 he served as head coach of the developmental league’s Tulsa 66ers, an affiliate of the Oklahoma City Thunder.
