The Orlando Magic have awarded $17 million in design and construction contracts for their AdventHealth Training Center to 33 local minority- and women-owned business enterprises. That amount is significant in that it represents nearly 32% of awarded opportunities, which is above the city’s recommended 24% level for minority- and women-owned business enterprises participation.
Those firms awarded contracts include Mack Contracting, C.T. Windows, TJNG Partners, SGM Engineering Inc., TLP Engineering, Consultants, JK2 Scenic, Southeastern Surfaces and Equipment, Percopo Coatings Company, and MMR Constructors, Inc. (which uses minority- and women-owned business enterprises sub-subcontractors).
The 130,000-square-foot facility will serve as the Magic’s practice and training site.
