Linebacker Sam Eguavoen placed on Dolphins COVID-19 reserve list

The Miami Dolphins placed Sam Eguavoen on the team’s COVID-19 reserve list, which means the team could be without the reserve linebacker for a few days, or weeks.

A player typically goes on the COVID-19 reserve list because they either tested positive for the virus that created a worldwide pandemic, have someone close to them who tested positive, or experienced a false positive test.

At this point it’s unclear which category Eguavoen falls in, but if he experienced a false positive test he should return to the team in a day or two.

The last player who contracted COVID-19 and had to sequester himself away from the team was offensive guard Ereck Flowers, and he missed two weeks of practices and work that didn’t involve Zoom meetings.
