Robbie Sanders set the tone early by returning the opening kickoff 80 yards for a touchdown as Lake Minneola opened its 2020 campaign with a convincing 41-8 win over host Tohopekaliga.
The Hawks, ranked No. 11 in the Sentinel Super 16, ran only 21 plays in the first half but used a 15-yard touchdown run from Savarius Walker and a 14-yard touchdown pass from Brayden Davis to Isaiah Shannon to take a 21-0 lead into the break.
Davis had a solid night leading the Hawk offense, completing 12 of 18 passes for 170 yards and three touchdowns.
