Backup quarterback Robbie Sanders threw for 154 yards and four touchdowns to help area No. 7 Lake Minneola crush Tavares 63-0 Friday.
Sanders is in his third week replacing injured starter Braden Davis, who is out with a broken leg. The xxxx completed 7 of 8 pass attempts for the Hawks (5-1), who host Leesburg on Friday before opening the playoffs against Land O’Lakes.
“When they started loading the box, we had to go to the pass, with special reads,” Lake Minneola coach Walter Banks said. “Robbie actually did a great job reading the defense and calling the right calls.
