LAKE MARY — In the first high school football meeting between Lake Mary High School and Timber Creek High School, the host Rams prevailed in a preseason game on Friday night.
Not only was it the first ever meeting between the two teams, but it was also unique in that only three quarters were played due to an injury. Timber Creek running back Chase D’ Alessandro had to be stretchered off the field, delaying halftime performances and prompting the coaches to agree to just a three-quarter game. Lake Mary won 23-6.
Lake Mary outplayed the Wolves on both sides of the ball with senior USF commit Gunnar Smith throwing for 192 yards and a touchdown.
