A fourth-down stop on their own 22 with just 1:29 remaining allowed Lake Mary to hold on for a 21-18 high school football win over Ocoee Friday night.
Ocoee sophomore quarterback Dylan Wade appeared as though he wanted to run an option on the play. But, with no one to pitch the ball to, he tucked it and ran, getting just one yard. That stop sealed the win for the visiting Rams (5-1), who are ranked No. 15 in the Orlando Sentinel Super 16.
“Our defense played well all night,” Lake Mary head coach Scott Perry said.
