Lake Mary quarterback Gunnar Smith hit wide receiver Sterle Scott for a successful two-point conversion attempt as the Rams erased a 14-point deficit in the fourth quarter to defeat Lake Brantley 15-14 Thursday night.
The successful conversion attempt was preceded by Smith finding running back Marquis Jones for a 14-yard touchdown with 11 seconds remaining in the contest. Jones eluded multiple Patriot defenders en-route to the end zone.
The gusty play call to go for the win was a product of cramping issues and Smith taking a late hit out of bounds on the eventual game-winning drive.
