Heavy rain and lightning delayed the start of Friday night’s Kissimmee Osceola football game by an hour and two minutes. But once the Kowboys got onto the field it was all downhill in a 69-0 road win against Tohopekaliga.
Osceola (1-1) scored the first three times it touched the ball and the Kowboys defense scored twice in the victory. The entire second half was played under a running clock under FHSAA mercy rules that apply when a team leads by 35 points or more after halftime.
Osceola needed little time to jump on the board early, taking the opening kickoff and going 50 yards on just six plays.
