ORLANDO, Fla. (November 1, 2016) – Major League Soccer today announced the finalists for the 2016 End of Year Awards, honoring the league’s top performers during the 2016 MLS regular season. Orlando City SC midfielder Kevin Molino was named a finalist for Comeback Player of the Year. The winner will be announced on Wednesday, Nov. 16.
Molino, 26, returned from a torn ACL suffered in May 2015 that limited him to just seven league games in City’s inaugural MLS season. The Trinidadian midfielder registered an outstanding campaign this year, making 26 starts in 30 appearances, ranking second on the team in both goals (11) and assists (8) and being named to the MLS Team of the Week three times (Weeks 13, 21 and 34).
