Kelly: Ten lingering issues Dolphins still need to address | Commentary

DAVIE — The NFL regular season has arrived, so it is finally time to see whether the Miami Dolphins' massive makeover has drastically improved last year’s 5-11 team.

The Dolphins produced a franchise worst 1,156 rushing yards last season, and it will not be a successful season if the team doesn’t significantly improve. That’s why Jordan Howard, who is the NFL’s third most productive tailback since entering the league in 2016, and Matt Breida, who has averaged 5.0 yards per carry in his first three seasons, were added this offseason. The Dolphins hope these two veteran starters will serve as a lightning and thunder in games, balancing each other out.
