While the top conferences still put plans in place to play college football in some capacity during 2020, junior colleges are pulling the plug on a fall season.
The National Junior College Athletic Association announced Monday it will move contact fall sports, including football, to the spring and delay the start of winter sports, including basketball, until January due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The association’s board of regents signed off on the recommendation made Thursday by NJCAA president and CEO Christopher Parker and the presidential advisory council to move the majority of junior college sports to the spring.
