Under the bright lights of Camping World Stadium, Jones High School started its season with a convincing win against Dr. Phillips in the Legacy Classic on Friday night.
Jones, No. 2 in the Sentinel Super 16 rankings, beat No. 10 Dr. Phillips 48-13. Tigers quarterback Kaylan Calvez, who said he has received offers from Liberty, FAU, Florida and USF among others, started his senior season off strong. He threw for 368 yards and five touchdowns while completing 21 of his 30 passes.
