The LA Galaxy’s chase of Mexican superstar Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez is complete.
According to Sports Illustrated’s Grant Wahl, the Galaxy have signed Hernandez to a contract that will make him the highest-paid player in Major League Soccer.
The 31-year-old, who has long been a target of MLS due to his star power and marketability with fans of the Mexican national team, will come to the Galaxy from La Liga side Sevilla, a club he joined from West Ham United in the English Premier League in September.
Hernandez will replace the playmaker void left open by Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s departure after the 2019 MLS campaign.
