A rookie sixth-rounder, Minshew replaced injured starter Nick Foles in Week 1 and became the Jags’ QB of the immediate future. Minshew Mania generated renewed interest in the franchise and folk hero status for the 24-year-old. The Mississippi native — who had put together a tremendous showing in his one season under Mike Leach at Washington State — generated a 6-6 record in Jacksonville with three game-winning drives, a 21-to-6 touchdown-to-interception ratio and Foles’ trade in March. Minshew now is the undisputed leader of the offense.
