A quick look at MLS standings and a casual observer may come to the conclusion that the Eastern Conference is terrible compared to the West. The No. 1 team in the East, Philadelphia, has five wins and a total of 20 points, while its Western counterpart, Colorado, has tallied eight wins and 28 points.
