Inter Miami announced the signing of forward Jerome Kiesewetter Monday afternoon.
Kiesewetter, 26, joins the 2020 Major League Soccer expansion franchise from El Paso Locomotive of the second-tier USL Championship. In one season for El Paso, the German-American scored 12 goals across 28 appearances.
“Jerome brings speed, athleticism and experience to our roster,” Inter Miami sporting director Paul McDonough said in a prepared statement. “We are pleased to bring him to Inter Miami and begin working with him in preseason.”
Kiesewetter began his professional career in Germany with Hertha BSC’s youth academy and second team from 2007 to 2014.
