When Miami Hurricanes safety James Williams got the first takeaway of his college career versus Central Connecticut State on Saturday, he created a moment UM fans likely won’t forget for a while and hope to see for years to come.
As soon as Williams, a former five-star prospect out of American Heritage Plantation, hauled in his interception during the third quarter against the Blue Devils, the freshman safety ran over to Leonard Taylor, a fellow former five-star prospect out of Miami Palmetto, with both Taylor and Williams jumping in the air for an embrace between Miami’s highest-rated players from its 2021 recruiting class.
