If you’re a Miami Dolphins fan, there’s the Patriot Syndrome over the past 20 years. It reads like so: They’ve been so good and so smart compared to the Dolphins you have been emotionally kidnapped into respecting them. But now Bill Belichick tries to go it alone without Tom Brady and, well, who knows?
These are two re-done teams, and I’m buying into the idea the Dolphins' makeover is readier to play right now than the Patriots. Here’s why I’m picking the Dolphins:
1.Ryan Fitzpatrick. It’s odd to say the Dolphins reason for success lies with a player who is 37, stands 3-10 lifetime against New England, has never been in a playoff game and, unless playoff contention is assured, will be replaced at some point this year by Tua Tagovailoa.
