I’m not writing on this particular topic, but look who’s one more win from becoming the NFL’s darlings:

Maybe even throw in Miami Dolphins owner Steve Ross, now that New England is losing and Bob Kraft is off-limits to TV cameras after two decades of those insipid, owners-suite celebrations.

If the Dolphins win a fifth straight game Sunday and improve to 6-3, especially if the script involves a second strong performance from the rookie quarterback Tagovailoa, the Dolphins will be crowned the surprise of the NFL season and labeled a legitimate playoff contender.

Certainly. And there’s nothing wrong with welcoming back those who remained sane by drifting away, lo, these many years.
